It is a more general way of saying that something or someone exists.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unlike in English, there is no plural form of \u201ces gibt\u201d. You would <u>never<\/u> say es geben. It does not matter how many things or people you are talking about, it is always in the third person, singular form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Helpful tip: Think about when speaking about your family. Although you are speaking about multiple people, you would still say \u201cMy family <u>is<\/u> doing well\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In this case, \u201cEs\u201d is the subject, making the next noun the object of the sentence and causing the object to be in the accusative case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Examples:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Es gibt keine Vampire -&gt; There are no vampires.\n<ul>\n<li>Why es gibt?
